Hello. I've been MIA. And busy. (picture heavy post)

Hi everyone!  I thought I would try to get back to blogging now that my crazy summer is over and life is in a quieter routine.  I'm still crafting as much as time allows, but I haven't blogged all summer.  I'm going to try to do better.  Hold me to that, ok?

We have had a wonderful summer.  Truly.  After months of remodeling the main level of our house, a relaxing summer was needed.  But I'm not sure I got relaxing...   It sure was fun, though!  I'll give you a bit of a recap of why didn't find time for blogging.  LOL

My daycare gig went down to just one or two days a week in towards the end of May.  I love watching these boys grow.  They are so sweet.

Shortly after school dismissed for him in mid-June, Jayce spent a fantastic two weeks at Camp Lincoln Boys Camp as a first time summer camper.  He had a blast!

While he was at camp, my husband and I took a few days antiquing our way across Wisconsin.  I found lots of fun stuff for my collections.
Best find of the weekend, though?

This book:

It was a favorite of mine when I was little.  I read it to all of my kids.  And I'd been looking for a copy for the Bitty Boys for some time.  They love to be read to when they are with me for Nana Daycare.

My husband flew home from Milwaukee and went back to work, and I was able to take another day or two to visit my friend Gina Krupsky (Gina K Designs).  I was so excited to see her and hang out with her at her new store, Village Paper and Ink.

We spent a quiet July 4th weekend at home assembling Ikea cabinets.  My husband rocks.  He helped me finally finish my office.  I LOVE it.

I went to my high school class reunion....  but I won't tell you which one.

In mid-July, I headed off to New Mexico.

I had SO much fun with these crazy women at the So Suzy Stamps retreat in Bloomfield, NM.   I miss them!

I mean, how cute is Suzy's little shop!?!?

I came home to spend a few days with these cuties.  I swear they grew so much when I was gone.

In August, we celebrated my mother in law's 80th birthday with an almost-whole-family vacation to Riviera Maya, Mexico.  There were 13 of us there.  (the babies stayed home with their other grandparents).  It was great week, even though it was really hot and we had a slight brush with Hurricane Earl.  We only had about 14 hours of not terribly heavy rain,  but the high surf did cancel/alter some scuba diving plans for two days.  (ask my daughter about the fabulous ferry ride to dive Cozumel...  LOL)

A few days after I got home, I hosted a weekend with these amazing friends, my Stamp Junkie pals.

Marci had these fun mugs made for us.  (we chat every morning for coffee.)

We had a stamp party on Saturday, and the crafty group size increased for the day.  It was so much fun!

Summer was winding down.  My daughter started her senior year at Northern Michigan University.  And, like always, sent me a first day of school picture.

We spent Labor Day weekend celebrating my mom's 90th birthday.

We made the annual last minute visit to the Minnesota state fair, and on Tuesday, September 6th,  sent Jayce off to sixth grade.

I turned 29 again that week.  My son took me out for lunch.

And my husband gave me a really fun gift when he came back from his business trip.

September gets me back into a school routine of my own:  A couple days by myself.  A couple days with these ever-changing, ever-growing boys.

This weekend I'll blog a few of my favorite cards that I made over the summer and at last weekend's craft convention.

I have some fun stuff to share.  But that's it for now.

Big slobbery kisses to ya.
Love ya!

  2. Well, first of all those boys are to die for, your craft room is amazing, and I'm jealous of the IPad Pro, haha. But it sounds like you had a fabulous summer. Thanks for giving us a little glimpse of the fun times you had.
