Growing in Unity: Day Four!

Today I am sharing another project made with another of Angie Blom's Angie Girl, Beach Girl.

My husband says even a bad day at the beach is better than a good day at the office.  It's true!  I finally believe it, after spending time at "real" beaches in Mexico and Georgia.  Those are fabulous places.  Beaches here in Minnesota aren't quite that amazing without the salty ocean breezes!

Now I'll never ever be this tan myself.  So don't think even for a second that this is me.  I don't even think it's remotely physically possible for my scandinavian skin.   Seriously, even throughout a good long summer?  The most I can hope for is a pale shade of beige.  But I can dream...

I inked up this sassy bikini girl with Summer Sky Memento ink, onto an Xpress It blending card.  I colored her suntanned skin with E21, E13, 15 and 27.  And her hat and skirt with the C markers 0-10.

Her bikini top was added last with a Copic Multiliner.  I hand cut out the image and adhered with to my background which I sponged  Tumbled Glass Distress, and Distress Oxide inks to.  I used a paintbrush to both remove some color as well as add more color to create the waves.  Then I added some Copic Opaque White with a brush for the waves and spray.

I then masked off a small area and inked more Distress Oxide ink to create the hint of a shadow before adhering my colored image.

My sentiment was added last with Versafine Onyx Black.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Tomorrow is my final GIU post, so please stop back.

Don't forget to comment for a chance to win a prize pack of 20 random Unity stamps!

Have a sunny day!  See you tomorrow!

I live in So. FL, about 10 miles west of the beach, and I never go.
And I'm a native Floridian! lol Of course, as a child and into my
early 20's I lived at the beach and was very tan! But now I have to
work for a living ... lol
