Rose Doodles

Hello!  Thanks for dropping by.

Today I am sharing a card made from one of the May release stamps from Technique Junkies.
I have chosen to feature this new stamp, Rose Doodles.

These sketch-y roses are really fun.  The loose design is perfect for a watercolor technique.

I masked and only used the blooms of the stamp to build a garden of roses.  I stamped starting with my foreground images, then masking and working my way up the top of the card with the three blooms.

I stamped the blooms with Distress Inks then used water, and some additional ink to very quickly "paint" my roses.  I did a green wash with Distress ink, and then painted in the stems wherever they made sense.

The card was finished with a black frame,  and the strip of vellum, on which I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Grand Greetings.

Thanks for stopping by!
