I love the size of the flowers included in Melanie's latest set, Pressed Flowers 2. And it includes many options for sentiments as well!
I used the rose image from Pressed Flowers 2 to create this garden of blooms. I repeatedly masked and stamped 10 roses on a white heavyweight panel in the sorbet ink colors of Dusty Rose, Innocent Pink, Wild Dandelion, Sweet Mango and Peach Bellini. I carefully added some colored pencils to give a bit of shading to each bloom, trying to keep any color from getting on any of the white divisions between the petals. Once I was happy with my shading, I hand trimmed the top of the panel away. I then coated the whole panel with Versamark Ink, and covered the whole thing with clear embossing powder and heat embossed.
I finished the card with a black panel, and a small decorative strip cut with a Double Scalloped Border die. The sentiment was heat embossed with white.
Here is the Christmas card I shared at the Stamp TV release party:
I used the poinsettia image and stamped in Red Hot ink, then added more color and shading to the petals with Prismacolor pencils. The leaves were stamped in Jelly Bean green, and also shaded a bit with pencils. I carefully trimmed out the leaves and assembled my card with some leftover bits of gold glitter paper, the black and white patterned paper from the Petite Patterns pack and a strip of heavyweight white cardstock on which I had heat embossed my greeting in gold.
Theresa Momber has released the next beautiful scene building set in her series: Framescape - Tropical Skies. How cute is this set!?! There are so many perfect images and sentiments included.
For this card, rather than use the frame, I used two of the separate silhouette images stamped in Versafine Tuxedo Black on 140# watercolor paper and watercolored in the scene using Prima Confections watercolors.
The card was assembled using a Black Onyx cardstock mat and a piece of patterned paper from the Here Comes the Sun paper pack.
The card I shared at the Release Party we made using the frame. It was stamped on heavyweight white cardstock and the background was sponged in using Wild Dandelion, Ocean Mist, Lovely Lavender, Wild Lilac and In the Navy inks. I used piece of Post-It Tape to protect the frame border from ink, as well as a piece to protect and create a the sharp horizon line. I worked first on the sky, then moving the tape to work on the water, attempting to mirror the colors of the sky. I added the playing dolphins in Black Onyx and drew in some shimmer at the horizon with a Jelly Roll Clear Star gel pen.
