Since this Minnesota girl just got back yesterday from spending four days melting in the Las Vegas heat, this hot challenge was timely.   As much as I love the hustle and spectacle of Vegas, with 100+ degree temps, I'd much rather have been at the beach.  This girl does not appreciate heat that well.  LOL

But I sure do love the warm colors for this challenge.

Thoughts MC659,  Thoughts word die DIE372-D, Large Glasses die DIE481-M and Hill Landscape Layers DIE343-T, watercolor paper and paints, misc cardstock and mirrored sheets.

I watercolored the background using Sennelier Aquarelle watercolors on Canson Montval watercolor paper, then built up the sandy dunes using various cardstock cut with the Hill Landscape Layers dies and foam tape.  The sunglasses were cut from a flexible mirror sheet.  The mirrored sheet is a bit thick for my Big Shot, so I did have to hand trim it out just a bit.  I left the lenses intact, then cut the sunglasses from purple self-adhesive glitter paper and adhered them on top of the mirrored glasses, this time leaving the lenses out, so the mirrored lenses would stay visible.  I tucked the glasses just behind the first layer of the sand.

The Greeting was added last using the Thoughts stamp and word die cut.
