Stampscapes-like inking with Gina K Designs products and MISTI

Hello.

I was taught a new-to-me technique on Saturday when I was at the Scrapmania Crop Event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  There was a rather impromptu demo given by Lynette Etzel, one of the teachers at Scrapmania.

Stampscapes stamps and this technique have been around quite awhile, and I've alway admired them, but never explored.

But after watching Lynette's short but concise and informative demonstration, I learned that I needed very few supplies to try this technique;  I had many stamps that I knew that would work for this technique, and definitely have plenty of dye inks!  The items I did not have were Ranger Glossy paper, and small Colorbox foam blenders, so I purchased those at the event.  I also picked up a few individual stamps as well.

I couldn't wait to get home at give this technique a try.

I love it.  I'm hooked.
I knew I would be.  I love landscapes and sky scenes.  There are so many colors that appear that it's always a challenge to try to recreate images of them!

The possibilities are endless for landscape images.

Framescapes: Winter Trees from Gina K Designs

I have stamped this image with India Ink and added color with Gina K Designs dye inks.

The video is HERE:

This technique is so much fun and is a rather quick and easy technique which is quite forgiving of mistakes.  I see a long pattern of adding scene-building stamps and blending tools to my collection!

Here are some of the scenes that I made last night.

This was my first attempt with Framescapes; only as a sunset, rather than sunrise.

This was stamped with a few Stampscape stamps.

This is a photo I took recently of a sunset.
I attempted to recreate it in ink below.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!
