Technique Junkies August Release Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Technique Junkies August Release Blog Hop!

The new August stamps are available now at Technique Junkies and all new releases are 15% off through August 8th!  There is no code needed for this sale!  To see them all, please click HERE.

This Savannah Giraffes card was made with Memento inks and Ink Blending sponges.  I masked off the top portion of my white card panel with Post-It Tape, then blended the yellow and orange Memento inks to create a warm background.  The image and greeting was added in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and a piece of black hand torn cardstock was added as my ground.

This card was created using the new Head Up stamp.  I created a watercolor panel using Color Burst powders and a water spritz bottle.  When dry, I heat embossed the image in gold and painted in her red hair with a Zig marker.  I trimmed the panel and added a coordinating strip of patterned paper.

This is another background created with Color Burst powders.  I added the Do Rag Kitty image in Versamark ink and added watercolor to the cat.  I then stamped the image again twice on white cardstock, once in red and once in black and paper-pieced the Do Rag and glasses.  The glasses were carefully trimmed, and I dipped the tips of the "cat-eye" frames in glue, then glitter to get the retro frame look.  Once adhered to my card, I carefully coated and filled the frames with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and let it fully dry.

Thanks for visiting today.  Remember that these new release stamps are all 15% off through August 8th.  And feel free to use the code TJ10Chris at checkout to save 10% on all regular priced non-new release items
