Here are a few projects that I have created with these new stamp sets:

Noelle Mouse by Beth Silaika is such an adorable set with awesome images for sweet holiday cards.  I am absolutely smitten by this sweet little mouse.

For this card, I masked the Mouse holding the gingerbread man cookie, peeking around the Christmas tree.  I stamped the Mouse and gingerbread cookie with second generation Moonlit Fog ink, meaning I stamped once on scrap paper before stamping my project to get a lighter version of the ink.  The tree was stamped with Jellybean Green ink onto my heavyweight white cardstock.  I colored the images with Copic markers, then used the Double Stitched Oval dies to cut out my focal panel, and a larger black mat.  I also stamped the gift image and two of the holly images onto white cardstock with Red Velvet ink and colored with Copics before hand trimming the image with scissors.

I diecut the small black label using one of the new Decorative Label Dies and heat embossed the Deck the Halls greeting, then added the small holly images.  Before assembling my card, I decided to make a subtle background on my Red Velvet cardbase by stamping snowflakes in Versamark and embossing them with clear powder.

To assemble, I first added my greeting label, then wrapped a piece of Gingham Fancy Ribbon around the card front and securing with Scor-tape.  The Oval focal image hid the seam of the ribbon.  I added two small rectangular "gifts", one from Petite Patterns, the other from the new Ornamental Holiday Foil Mates  foiled with Radiant Red foil.  I then used a piece of foam dimensional tape to add the colored gift in front.

This was the clean and simple card that I created for the Stamp TV release party.  I stamped the holly and candy cane images first, then masked, then stamped the mouse in Memento Tuxedo ink, then colored with Copic makers.

I assembled with just a strip of Grass Green cardstock and the strip of Ornamental Holiday Foil Mates  foiled with Radiant Red foil.  The greeting was stamped with Black Onyx ink.

Now, first I have to give you the inspiration for my second stamp set, Purrfect Christmas.

I have three very large, lazy overweight cats who LOVE Christmas.  They started out quite small, slept a lot and were rather easily manageable.

Smokey and Bandit

But food quickly became an obsession.

And they grew.
This is my son's contant conpanion, Hot Wheels.

They look pretty sweet and innocent, right?

They are the reason we must have artificial trees, because they just can't leave the water alone, and the hardwood flooring just doesn't like pine flavored puddles.  And they are the reason that we often have to rewrap gifts (sometimes more than once) and replace our tree every couple of years because eventually the branches are so bent from their climbing that they just no longer are tree shaped.

So I needed a stamp set that conveys the CATastrophies of many a recent Christmas.  So I designed Purrfect Christmas for those with a love/hate relationship with their cat(s).

Here are a few of the cards I have made with this set:

It starts with just one...  A cute little kitten.  This one layer card was stamped with Memento and colored with Copic markers.

And for awhile life is pretty peaceful.  They cuddle, and sleep, and don't cause too much trouble.
This card was masked and stamped with second generation inks on Artist's Choice cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils,  I trimmed out the tree and scene and added it to a patterned paper background with a window die cut.

Soon those adorable kittens grow, and begin to explore and cause trouble.  This scene was stamped on Canson watercolor paper, and I used a post it to mask off portions of the stockings.  I used my Scorepal to score a paneled background before painting with Sennelier watercolors.  Before assembling my card, I use a needle to thread pieces of embroidery thread through the panel at the bottom the stockings to show them unraveling.

The kittens become cats, and soon enjoy climbing and undecorating the tree.
This scene was stamped on Artistico cold press watercolor paper and painted with Sennelier watercolors.

And eventually they tip the tree.  This time, stamped the cat and tree on heavyweight white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  I then fussy cut them out.  On a separate panel of watercolor paper,  I very lightly sketched in the sofa with pencil, then used Distress Inks to paint it.  When it was fully dry, I erased the pencil marks.  I strung gold cording to the tree and cut a portion of the tree away to make it look like it was resting on the arm of the sofa.  I tucked the cat slightly behind the tree and adhered to the watercolor panel with liquid adhesives.

Thanks for joining in on my Cat Tales adventure!

Don’t forget to pop over to the Gina K Designs Store and check out all of the new products available this month in the “What’s New” section at http://www.ginakdesigns.com.

Right now the current incentive set that is free with your $75 Gina K Designs order, is this beautiful Scripty Holidays set.

Scripty Holidays

This is the latest in the Scripty series, and it is a gorgeous sentiment set.  I have used it on this release party project along with the amazing tree image from the Merry & Bright Stamp TV kit.

This card was created by stamping the tree image on Ranger Glossy paper with Staz-on ink.  I then used Colorbox styluses with oval foam blending tips to apply Memento inks to create the wintery sky and icy pond.  I used a paintbrush and Gina K white pigment ink as well as a white gel pen to accent the snow.  I trimmed the panel down, and stamped and embossed the Scripty greeting to my black card base before adhering the focal panel.

The next two cards use the Scripty Holidays greetings with ornaments made with the new Gina K Designs/Therm O Web Foil-Mates and Fancy Foils.

I foiled 4" pieces of the Foil-Mates from the Blizzard and Ornamental Holiday packs with Radiant Red, Glittering Green and Sparkling Silver Fancy Foils.  I used several sizes of punches and dies to cut circles.  I used sponge daubers to apply Blue Denim. Cherry Red and Jellybean Green ink to give the circle a bit of illusion of dimension.  I stamped my Scripty greeting, and added subtle "strings" with a glitter gel pen, then adhered the ornaments with liquid glue.

Cats - we have 2 a maine coon and a tortoise. 14 yrs old. They are pretty good with the tree - except for wanting to drink the water! No matter how I cover the top of the stand to hide the water! Other than that, they love to lay under it !! And it's so cute!

  26. We used an artificial tree but had to leave it undecorated for a few days so our cat AJ would get all his climbing done before we decorated (otherwise he pulled stuff off the tree trying to climb to the top). Cute cards!
