MISTI and Ink Blot Shop Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the MISTI and Ink Blot Shop Collaboration Blog Hop!

Hopefully you have arrived here from Giovana's blog, but if not and you wish to start today's Blog Hop at the beginning, please click HERE.

The Ink Blot Shop is a company launched by long time crafter Tifany DeGough in the summer of 2016.  She originally started designing stamps the stamps she felt she was missing for her Bible art and journaling, but soon began creating stamps for card making as well.  Her gift of designing versatile and easily colorable images and fun sentiments a mix of fantastic fonts has really made her company a rising star in the stamping community.  Her images can easily be combined or be stamped repeatedly to make backgrounds, used to decorate planners and journals or be a stunning focal image for simple to elaborate cards.  I was very impressed with the range and quality of these stamps, and this set,  Arts and Crafts Sentiments, was a must have for me.  I love the mix of fonts, and the many small craft supply stamps to create cards and tags for crafty friends.  And the "I arted" sentiment, just was just way too cute!

I chose to use this Arts and Crafts Sentiments set for my card today.

I started my card by using my original MISTI to stamp the large ink blot stamp on an Xpress-it Copic Blending Card using the pale Altenew Blush ink.  This gave me a very faint image for no-line coloring.

I used my favorite red combo (R24, 27, 29 and 59), to color the puddle of paint, shading the edges to give the appearance of dimension.  I added highlights with a white gel pen, and a bit of a shadow with a N3 marker.  I also added a light coat of Spectrum Sparkle pen for a bit of extra shine.

I added a sharper line at the lower edge of the puddle with thin line of a 0.3 Wine Copic Multi Liner pen.

I then added my greeting by stamping in embossing ink and heat embossing in white.

And adhered my panel to a red side fold A2 card base.
I also stamped my envelope flap using the "carded" greeting.  I used my MISTI to stamp in red ink, and also stamped on a Post-it note and trimmed out a tiny mask for the greeting, then stamped the envelope image in black ink over my masked greeting.

This makes such a fun notecard to send to a fellow crafty friend!
