Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Hello from frigid Minnesota.
It's -19 degrees actual temperature and with the wind?  -45...

It's cold.

I haven't left the house in two days.  And hopefully won't until Thursday when it's a downright balmy -2.

So I've been holed up in my craft room having fun with this image from the Unity Stamp Company January 2019 Kit of the Month, Beautiful Forever & Ever.

This is the card that I made yesterday, on Day 1 of this school-is-cancelled, stay-inside, craft marathon.  I used Zig Markers and Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle pencils to create it.

Today, on day two of my blizzardy craftathon, I decided to try it again with a different medium.  This time I chose to paint it using Distress Ink.  And today, I turned my camera on, so there is a YouTube video tutorial linked below if you are interested.

Enjoy your evening!  Stay warm everyone!

  2. So gorgeous! Thanks for the video; super helpful with understanding the process. I have replayed the beginning a few times but cannot figure out what ink you used first for the main image. Can you tell me again, please? Again, thanks so much!

    1. It's called Fade Out ink from a company called Inkon3. It's a really pale warm gray ink that takes on the color of the medium you use with it.
