There are two awesome blog hop prizes up for grabs, so make sure you leave me a comment to be entered for a chance to win one of three prize packages which include both a $50 gift certificate from My Sweet Petunia and a $50 gift certificate from My Favorite Things.  You must leave comments before 11:59pm ET Monday January 21, to be eligible for the drawing.  Winners will be posted on both the MFT blog and the MSP blog on Tuesday, January 22nd.

Here is a list of all of today's hop participants:

Today I'm using this adorable Pure Innocence little girl stamp set and matching die from So Much Love.  Those heart hands!  How much sweeter can you get for Valentine's Day??

I used my Original MISTI to stamp both the girl image and the sentiment onto a panel of Hammermill 80# Color Copy Digital Cover paper.  (This is my go-to layering weight paper for Copic coloring.)

I quickly colored her skin, hair and shoes with Copic markers.  I didn't color the dress, since I was planning to paper piece.

Then used the matching die to die cut the girl.

I found a scrap of a small print patterned paper in my scrap drawer, and very quickly inked up just the dress portion of the image and stamped onto the patterned paper.

After trimming out my paper piecing dress (by hand cutting with scissors directly on the stamped lines), I carefully used a W3 Copic marker to touch up the edges of my pieces of the dress.  This small bit of color, makes the white edge of the white-core patterned paper disappear.

I used liquid adhesive to carefully adhere the dress to the colored image.

To create the backdrop for this image, I chose to make a chalkboard image.  I used my Original MISTI to stamp the Entangled Hearts image onto a small piece of black cardstock with white pigment ink.  While the ink was still wet, I used my fingertip to smudge the ink to resemble a lightly chalk dust covered chalkboard, smudging a bit of extra ink on the corners of the black paper.

While the white pigment ink dried, I used Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink and a soft blending brush to ink up the Small Brick Wall stencil onto my white top-folding card base.

I trimmed out my sentiment using a craft knife and ruler.  I also cut tiny slivers from the remnants of my cardstock to be used as pieces of chalk at the bottom of my chalk board.

I then assembled my card.  I cut kraft cardstock mat for my chalkboard, leaving a slightly wider margin at the bottom of my board.  I ran a line of W4 Copic marker along the base of the black chalkboard to give the illusion of shadow of the chalk tray before adhering the chalk pieces.  The board was then added to the cardbase using liquid adhesive, and the sentiment strip and girl added with adhesive foam tape.

I also chose to use some of my MFT stencils to create a background for my next cards.

These cards feature the Wonderful Woodland Friends stamps and dies.

I began by using my MISTI to create two sets of my images.  I placed the stamps to fit on half of an A2 panel of Hammermill paper, and stamped with Memento black ink.  Then I rotate the paper and stamped a second set on the other half.

I colored the images with Copic markers.

Then die cut the set of images in one pass with my Big Shot.  I used small pieces of Purple Tape to hold the dies in place while die cutting multiple images.

I used the Drifts and Hills stencil to create a grassy foreground onto my folded card base using a blending brush and my ink pad.  I inked the lower hill first, then moved the stencil up and brushed more color in.

I used the Cloud stencil to likewise do the sky with ink and a blending brush, brushing color down from the lower edge of the stencil, then repositioning it and brushing ink up from the top edge of the stencil.  I inked a hint of a layered cloud shape in the center of the cloud mass as well.

I added the sentiments using my MISTI, and assembled my scene, but trimming the lower edge of the tree to match up with my inked hill and adhering it with liquid glue.  I trimmed a bit from the flower die cut to appear to fit in the rabbit's paw, and used liquid glue to attach it to the rabbit die cut, then added the critters to my card with 3M foam tape.

The two cards are similar, but not identical.

That's it from me today, but there's much more to see in today's hop so please continue, leaving comments on each blog on your way!  The links are listed above.

Thanks for hopping!  Have a great day!
