Today I'm sharing some simple fun kid projects. My first project is a bookmark, made with the Cat Bookmark Die (DIE 602-L). These are fun little gifts for the small people in your life.
Today I'm sharing some simple fun kid projects. My first project is a bookmark, made with the Cat Bookmark Die (DIE 602-L). These are fun little gifts for the small people in your life.
I cut the bookmark from a very thick and sturdy 140# tag weight card stock. I used Scattered Straw and Wild Honey Distress Ink and a sponge blender to ink up both the front and the back of the cat. Then added tiny stripes with a paintbrush and more Wild Honey Distress Ink, and added small 1/8" google-y eyes.
My second project is a Halloween shaker card that uses this beautifully ornate spider web die, Halloween Web.
Halloween Web (DIE 589-Z)
I die cut this Halloween Web from black cardstock. The die is approximately 3 5/8" in diameter. I used a Spellbinders 3 1/2" circle die and cut a circle from a 5x5" square of black cardstock. I added a clear plastic window sheet to the back of the die cut and adhered the Halloween Web to the front. Using a double layer of 3M foam tape, I created a frame on the back of the panel to hold a mix of orange, gold, and purple sequins and seed beads. I sealed the shaker area with a piece of purple cardstock, then adhered the shaker card front to a side fold 5" card base.
The rest of the IO Team has much more die inspiration for you too! Follow the links below to continue on the hop!
Thanks for hopping with us! Don't forget to comment for entries for the giveaways too!
Enjoy the hop!
