Today I have lots of new floral Valentine
inspiration to share.

Let's start with this fun background stamp, Flower and Heart Swirls (L16335).

I used my MISTI to stamp the Flower and Heart Swirls (L16355) on white cardstock.  I used several pastel colors of Distress Ink cubes to ink areas of the stamp and stamped multiple times to get a nice depth of color.  The Spread Love (C21035) sentiment was stamped in Bundled Sage ink on a strip of white cardstock.   I sprayed a light coating of Elmer's Craft Bond Spray Adhesive over both the stamped background panel and the sentiment strip and coated them with Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter.  Once dry, I added the sentiment strip to the panel and trimmed it to 3.25 x.4.5".  I used a piece of matching speckled vellum to create a mat and added it to a top fold A2 card base, then added my glittered panel with 3M foam tape.

Rose Wreath (H13628), More Basic Greetings (CL549)

This card uses Color Bursts as a coloring medium.  I heat embossed the Rose Wreath (H13628)  and I Love You sentiment (from More Basic Greetings CL549) with antique gold embossing powder onto Canson Montval watercolor paper, then used a wet paintbrush to pick up the Color Bursts powders and paint the image and background.

These Sweet Heart Roses were lightly stamped with India ink onto Fabriano Artistico cold press watercolor paper.  I used Daniel Smith watercolors to paint them.  Once dry I used a stitched oval die to cut the focal image, and adhered it to a coordinating plaid paper.  I stamped the A Little Something  (B13615) greeting on a strip of white cardstock and used a piece of matching green cardstock to mat it.  After adhering to my oval, I trimmed it along with the plaid paper to 3.75" x 5" and added it to a Kraft card base.

Another rose card, uses Strathmore Toned Gray paper and Prismacolor pencils to make a monochromatic impact.  The Rose Bouquet was lightly stamped with Memento ink.  The coloring was done only with cool grays, white and black pencil, using pencil to pencil blending.  The Dear Friend greeting was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with black.

This card uses the new Watercolor Rose (F20423), stamped multiple times onto my white card panel.  Each rose was inked in layers using two colors of ink for the bloom and two colors for the leaves, stamping repeatedly using my MISTI to build up variation and depth of color.  The stamped panel was trimmed then the To Love (E13631) sentiment was added with Versamark and gold embossing powder before adding a mat and adhering to a matching card base.

That's it for my floral inspiration today.  Thanks for dropping by.  Be sure to leave a comment here, and on all the rest of the blog hop stops to be entered for a chance to win one of the Gift Certificate prizes with each comment.

Your next stop on the hop should be Daniela Dobson.  Enjoy the hop!
