You're Steaming Hot!

Today I am sharing a fun Valentine Card made with my MISTI and some fun rubber cling stamps.

Only Unity Stamp Company could make an iron so adorable.  This iron is from a set called The Irony, designed by Lisa Arana.

I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Hammermill 80# Digital Color Cover paper using my original MISTI.  I also stamped it onto a piece of 2" Post-it tape, so I could create a mask.  I hand trimmed the mask, and placed it over my stamped image.  Once carefully covered, I stamped the large Wooden Heart with dark red ink.

I carefully removed the Post-it Mask.

I colored the metal of the iron using C0, C1 and C2 Copic markers, and the body of the iron with W1, B41 and B45 markers.

I stamped the "you're STEAMIN' hot" sentiment with Memento ink onto a dark red cardstock strip, trimming the ends into a fish tail and adhering it to my colored panel with Liquid Glue.  I trimmed the panel using a large Double Stitched Rectangle die, and adhered it to a red top fold card base.

I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the lenses of the glasses, and let them dry a few hours.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
