Good Morning!
Welcome to my Day 3 of my Growing in Unity week!
Today I am sharing two mixed media cards using Unity Stamps' Angie Girls and the process video.
For today's cards, I stamped with Versafine ink onto Bristol smooth paper. I also stamped a mask from Post-it tape to be able to protect my image. I colored my images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, using a Faber Castell waterbrush to blend and move the ink on my paper. Once my images were colored, I covered them with my Post-it tape masks.
I then used my Gel Press and acrylic paint to do some printing. Because I needed to be able to remove the paper tape mask, I only did two prints. One in color, and a second one lightening up my background with lighter paint, white, and white with silver, using stencils to create a pattern and interest. I carefully removed the masks before the acrylic paint had fully dried. I added the sentiments with my Original MISTI and Brutus Monroe surface inks.
The video of today's projects is here:
Just a reminder, Unity Stamp Company has generously offered prize packs filled with 25 random stamps to two of my blog followers this week. If you would like to be entered for a chance to win 25 fabulous Unity stamps, please leave a comment! I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks, and I'll be back tomorrow for Day 4!
Have a great day!
