Concord & 9th Feature Friday: Stocking Stuffers Bundle

Can you believe that September is almost over already?  Today is my final Friday Feature day as a guest designer for Concord & 9th's September Holiday Release.  Once again, I have two blog posts today.  This post features projects created with the Stocking Stuffers Bundle.

The Stocking Stuffers Bundle includes the Stocking Stuffers stamp set;

I also have a post today that features the Holly Berry Bundle HERE.

The Stocking Stuffers Bundle contains stamps and dies to create interactive holiday cards.  Today I made hanging Santa stocking cards with hidden slide-out greetings.

I stamped the three gift toppers onto a Copic friendly white cardstock using my Original MISTI.  I stamped all three at once, as well as the small pinecone and holly image.
I then added color to the images with Copic markers.

Next, I stamped and colored the stockings, and die cut and colored the cuff of the stockings as well.

Here is one of the assembled cards.  I first used the small die to cut the slider hole in a panel of black cardstock before adding my mantel.  My wood mantel was created by stamping the Barnwood background stamp on white cardstock with dark gray ink.  Using a blending brush, I added kraft and gray inks to create a neutral stained wood color.

I die cut the slider tab from white card stock and stamped my hidden greeting, then slipped it through the hole and carefully adhered the topper to the top of the greeting.  Next I adhered the black panel to a top-fold card base, adding adhesive only to the edges of the panel to make sure that my slider greeting was free to move beneath.

Next I added my pine boughs.  These pine boughs were cut from 4 different green cardstocks using the Take a Bough dies.  I simply snipped portions from the ends of each die cut and layered above the mantel.  I added a piece of twine and the tiny tag to the garland too.  I adhered the stocking in place and heat embossed the visible greeting.

A second, very similar card using gold cording in the garland.

And a third, which uses the string bows from the Stocking Stuffer die set to attach the tiny tag with the "pull me" directions.

I still have several colored pieces to create more cards with.  I decided to use of of the stocking toppers here on this cards.  I stamped the background using the Woven Stripes background stamp.  I stamped it both horizontally and vertically to create the plaid.

I created a "tray" with a strip of red cardstock, and wanted to have the little monster from Monster Hugs Bundle carrying it as if bringing gifts to a good friend.  The little matching die that cuts the separate monster fingers was perfect to add to the edges of the tray!

I added the nice list greeting to the die cut (from Holly Jolly dies) and inked the edges before adding two extra pinecones to the bottom.

I love to find ways to use my new sets with older ones and try to think outside the box.  With these very versatile sets, it opens up so many new possibilities!!

Thanks for visiting!  Have an awesome day!
