Good morning!
This is post number two today. If you are looking for my Concord & 9th Stocking Stuffers Bundle Feature post, please click HERE.
This post is my final Concord & 9th September Holiday Release Feature Friday post. It's been an honor to be a guest designer for September. And September certainly has flown by!
Today I'm sharing projects created with the Holly Berry Bundle.
The Holly Berry Bundle consists of the Holly Berry Turnabout Stamp Set,
and the Holly Berry dies.
I made a number of very simple, but classy holiday cards using the Holly Berry Dies.
I had experimented with heat embossing the Woven Stripes Background on dark cardstock. Look how pretty that is! The woven detail is still visible even when embossed!
I wanted to see how it looked in plaid. It reminded me of a holiday tablecloth that we used to have on our dinner table.
But that tablecloth was in a dark red/burgundy. So I made another.
I decided to use the gold foiled paper from the Neutrals Foil Paper Pack.
I cut several of the Season's Greetings frames in gold, and the solid frame from matching cardstock and simply added them to my embossed panels that I had trimmed to A2 size.
I love this simplicity!
The Holly Berry Turnabout makes gorgeous holiday backgrounds, and has two turnabout stamps included. One for the leaves, one for berries. The leaf turnabout images are very stylized, so much so that I wondered if it could be used for more than just the holidays. (I love when I can make seasonal themed stamps work all year long!) I tried fall ink colors, beige, kraft, chocolate and turquoise and loved the result. I paired my background with an ink blended leaf from Thankful Leaves Dies. I had inked the full leaf before cutting the veining. I removed the veins, and darkened them with more brown ink, then popped it back in place and adhered it to the background panel. I cut a small strip for the partial greeting, and added the word wonderful, that I had stamped in turquoise and carefully trimmed out with scissors.
Thanks for joining me this month for this Feature Friday experience! It's been so much fun to share my projects with you.
Thanks for this opportunity, Concord & 9th!!
