Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to be able to share the news! My friend Gina Krupsky of Gina K Designs has today's featured Stamptember Stamp Set at Simon Says Stamp!
I am so thrilled for her, and thrilled to be able to share this adorable winter set, Warmer With You, with you today.
Gina's new set is called Warmer With You and is available at Simon Says Stamps only while supplies last! So you will want to grab one while you can!
This set is perfect for holiday cards, as well as gift tags and packaging!
My first project is packaging. I keep a stash of kraft gift bags on hand for last minute gifts. They are perfect for a gift of a bottle of wine as a hostess gift, a small bag of homemade candies or holiday cookies, or that pair of fun-patterned pair of wool socks for your book club gift exchange! I chose to use an emboss-resist technique for a coordinating hanging gift tag.
I started by measuring between the spacing of my gift bag handles. In this example, I started with a 2 7/8" x 5" panel of Gina K Sandy Beach cardstock. I stamped the smallest snowman with my MISTI in Gina K Kraft ink, and again in Versamark and heat embossed in clear. I also stamped on a piece of 2" Post it tape and hand trimmed out a mask. I masked the small snowman and stamped and embossed the larger snowman as well. I also cut a mask for the larger snowman. I stamped the greeting the same way.
I then stamped snowflakes with only Versafine ink and heat embossed in clear.
With both snowmen masked with the Post-It note masks, I also cut a curvy piece of Post-it tape for a snowdrift, and added it just at the base of the snowmen. I began sponging in Kraft ink, using a foam blending sponge. I used a dry towel to remove any ink from the snowflakes. I then removed the tape masks and used a small brush to paint in just a hint of shading to the snowman and their accessories.
I finished my tag with strips of patterned paper (Gina K Warm Cocoa and a print from the Journey of the Heart paper pack). I cut a 2 7/8" x 10 piece of Gina K ivory cardstock and scored at 5" and folded. I added my inked panel to the base.
I also used my MISTI to stamp a repeating pattern of snowflakes at the bottom of the front and back of the kraft gift bag using Kraft ink.
The gift tag is not attached to the gift bag, but instead just hangs over the top of the bag, it can be signed inside and saved as a holiday card as well.
My next project is an A2 sized greeting card.
I have created a sponged background using Distress Oxide inks on smooth hot press watercolor paper. Once the inked surface was fully dry, I heat embossed the pretty birch tree image using Gina K Designs white embossing powder. I trimmed my panel and added Nuvo liquid glue and Nuvo Pure Sheen glitter to the snow. I cut a wavy snow drift shaped strip from Gina K Designs heavyweight white cardstock. I stamped the greeting in Wild Lilac ink, and then coated the strip with a thin layer of glue and added Nuvo glitter to it as well.
This family of snowmen were stamped in Memento ink on Gina K heavyweight white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I carefully trimmed each out with scissors, and added a thin layer of liquid glue to their bodies with a paintbrush. I added shimmery Nuvo glitter to them as well. I added small poms to their hats, and assembled my card using liquid glue and foam dimensional tape.
Thanks for stopping by today!
