Beth's latest set, is simply adorable. I love the ocean theme and this dolphin is the CUTEST!
I stamped and colored my dolphin with Copic Markers, leaving a stripe of white of my cardstock exposed so he looked shiny and as if he is glistening with water. I added him to a white card base, which was layered with three equal sized pieces of patterned papers from the Softly Spring paper pack. I used flag of a contrasting unknown variety of paper from my scrap drawer to create a backdrop for my hoop-jumping dolphin. My hoop is cut with circle punches from Peach Bellini cardstock.
The card I shared at the Stamp TV release party features the whale from the Karen Dolphin set.
I stamped the whale and colored it with Copic markers. I then trimmed it out with a scissors and added it to a Cherry square layered with the wave patterned paper from the Pool Side paper pack. It was adhered to a white cardbase and the sentiment was added in Cherry Red ink. The tiny red heart was trimmed out after stamping and added as well.
Claire Brennan's new Lovely Lily set is amazing. It's a multi-step layered set that is just gorgeous!
Here, I have stamped the layers in Peach Bellini, Sweet Mango and Tomato Soup, and added the dots and flower stamens in Dark Chocolate and Charcoal Brown. I loved how elegant this flower looked, so I wanted it to stand alone. I hand trimmed the bloom.
I assembled my card using a white heavyweight card base, and a strip of black cardstock and a piece of the pretty green striped patterned paper from the Spring Parade paper pack. I had trimmed a bit of grass green cardstock for a stem, adding the layered stamped leaf to it. I also trimmed just a tiny piece of Peach Belllini inked cardstock to have a slight flute of the flower to which to attach my stem. I then added the flower to the top, popped up with foam squares.
I also made a card using only the outline image of the lily that I originally shared at the release party.
I used the flower outline, leaf and stamen stamps to give me a outline to watercolor. I painted the flowers and stems with Daniel Smith watercolors, added a strip of coordinating patterned paper from the Delicate Essentials paper pack, stamped the thanks greeting in Black Onyx and added a few sequins.
