Some days I wish I had an I.V.. It could be hands-free dripping coffee in my bloodstream as I get ready in the morning!
Today I'm sharing a card I made in honor of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog hop and the coffee loving gang at So Suzy Stamps.
So Suzy Stamps is one of the sponsors. I love her stuff! Well... let's face it. To be honest, I love most stamps. Stamps are almost as essential to me as coffee!
I didn't have any of Suzy's coffee stamps, so I used these adorable images and some masked sentiments from The Ton.
I stamped my images on Strathmore Bristol paper with Versafine and colored the little Honey Bear and cup with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I prefer using a brush and water to blend out my colors, rather than a self-contained waterbrush. (I feel I have more control of the water. Maybe I need a new waterbrush...) I knew I was going to put the little bear resting against the cup, so I painted in a hint of his shadow onto the cup. Once my images were dry, I fussy cut them and set them aside as I assembled the base.
My card is assembled on a Papertrey Ink Kraft card base, with my front panel being a piece of Fine Linen card stock that I cut with a MFT zig-zag rectangle die. I also cut a slightly larger mat as will as the coffee word die from Papertrey's dark chocolate card stock, and also a mat layer of Graphic 45 patterned paper from the Christmas Carol pack.
I stamped my front panel using some partial sentiments... Using So Suzy Stamps Wild Whiskey ink, I used some post it notes to mask off portions of the sentiments to alter them to my needs. The first sentiment is from Like a Boss, the lower one from Caffeine Crush. After stamping, I assembled the layers and added the word die and random sequins with all purpose glue. Once my placement was decided, I used a T1 Copic marker to add just a hint of shadow on the front panel for the up is glued directly to my panel, but my Honey Bear is popped up with some 3M foam tape.
Thanks for visiting.
